Day 63 or 9 weeks

Today is day 63 or 9 weeks since I quit smoking. I am actually feeling a bit like a non-smoker today! That's progress. Woo Hoo!

I starting cutting the Chantix in half and taking half doses and it seems to be working great. No nausea and no cravings. In fact yesterday I can only remember thinking about smoking once and it was gone as quick as it came.

I am not an extremely religious person, but I do have a deep love and belief in God. I also believe strongly in prayer and that if asked in total faith, prayers will be answered. I can testify to this because I have prayers answered in my life on a constant basis and it still amazes me each time.

The reason for the above paragraph is this. Yesterday, I was thinking how am I going to do this? The desire to smoke was overwhelming and the cravings were hard to get over. So I remembered God and decided that I needed divine intervention. I prayed for God to help me get through this quit by taking away the desire to smoke. I haven't had a desire to smoke since. :)

For those of you who don't believe in God, you can say it's the Chantix. However, I for one know better. :)

Have a great day!

Congratulations on another day without smoking and one of your first not even thinking about it!!!!
I believe in the power of faith, faith in myself and faith in something larger than anything else I can imagine (I'm not sure if thats God) but I agree with you that it works!!

You know what Sue...I forgot about the prayers I've had to God to help me quit smoking, you're right it was God. What/who else?! I'm 9 weeks smoke free today. Thanks for helping me remember it was God not the Chantix!

Good for you anonymous!

It's now been a year and a half since I quit (this is an old post). Quitting was one of the best decisions that I have ever made.

I believe that I was able to quit with the help of God and chantix. I believe that God led me to the chantix because I had failed at quitting so many times before. He definitely works in mysterious ways
