I realized today for the first time that I will never smoke again. Why would I? I enjoy being a non smoker and will remain one. The thought of smoking makes me go yuck anymore. I never thought that I would feel that way. I no longer feel sorry for myself because I can't smoke. I now choose not to smoke and I don't feel like somebody is stopping me from doing something that I want. Yippeee!!!! I've made it...by golly, I've made it!!!!
I heard this morning that a pack of cigarettes in New York just went up to almost $9.00 a pack!!!! Can you believe that? Smoking there now will cost you a car payment!
I am so glad for the blogging community who helped me along my journey to quit smoking and I hope that my own blog may have helped some as well.
For all of you who are still early in your quit, keep going. It's gets better, really it does.
For those of you who are just thinking of quitting, go ahead, you can do it. If someone like me who smoked for almost 35 years and thoroughly enjoyed it can quit, anybody can quit. I know you can so grab some Chantix and get started!
I hope everyone is enjoying spring. It is an absolutely gorgeous day here. It's about 75 degrees and partly sunny. I took a look at my flower gardens this morning and I've got Hosta's, Hydrangeas, and some other of my perennials coming up. What a beautiful day!
Happy quitting!

Sue, Just came across your blog! I am One day, 6 hours, 58 minutes and 58 seconds into my quit! Wow this stinks! This afternoon has stunk! Good for you! I hope to get to that point! Check out http://fromthemindoflisa.blogspot.com/ when you get a chance!
Stay strong Lisa...you can do it!
After just a few days, you will realize how much smoking stinks. :)
Keep it up!
Well done Sue, we're all with you :-)
Good job! I am glad I quit too...its been a bit over five months and still want one at times but I do not miss being a slave to nicotine AT ALL! I have definetly saved some money in the seven months I have been pretty much off cigarettes. I do not miss spending roughly $5.00 a day to slowly kill myself. Keep up the good work.
Peace,
Diva
Congratulations on another day quit! It does feel wonderful doesn't it. Today is day 201 for me and I look forward to weeks and months more on my quit list. I too attribute my success in part (great part) to Chantix, could not have gotten this far without it for the first few months.
Congratulations Again, you deserve a great deal of credit!!!!
