9 months since I quit smoking! Wow!

Wow!!! It's been 9 months since I quit smoking! Unbelievable! I still don't quite believe it, but it's true. :)

It's still hard at times, and I still have to remind myself of all the reasons that I don't want to smoke, but I'm so glad that I don't. I use to be hooked to a very heavy ball and chain, but the ball is getting lighter as each month passes. I smoked for many many years, so the cravings don't just go away overnight. I still get them from time to time, but they pass fairly quickly thank God.

It's funny doing gardening this year. I use to grab my cigarettes while heading out the door and reward myself for my hard work by taking cigarette breaks. Now, when I think whew I need a break, it's odd for me to not smoke. I catch myself heading to the patio thinking that I will just sit down for a minute and smoke a cigarette. I still sit down, I just don't smoke. lol

My goal is to keep making progress each and every day until the day comes when I no longer even think about smoking. Whether that day will actually come, I don't know but I intend to keep working toward that goal. Do you have a goal? If so, what is it?

Best of luck to all of us quitters! :)
